I can't see my gallery photos on Instagram: Solutions

I can’t see my gallery photos on Instagram: Solutions

March 25, 2024March 7, 2024 by akbarnoire

Having problems uploading photos from your gallery to Instagram? Here’s how to solve them.

Although Instagram has a lot of filters and editing modes, the app does not always offer the features we are looking for. One alternative is to edit the images with a third-party app and then publish them on the social network. However, you may have problems when it comes to uploading that image. If you can’t see the photos in your gallery on Instagram, we give you some solutions.

My Instagram photos are not saved in the gallery, how to solve it?

In Instagram, there is an option so that the images you post are automatically saved in the gallery. If you have this option enabled, but still the photos are not saved, we give you some solutions.

Check the permissions. It may be that Instagram does not have permission to the gallery of your mobile, and that’s why the images are not saved. To fix this, go to Settings > Apps > All apps > Instagram. Then go to the ‘Permissions’ tab. Under ‘Storage’, the box should be checked to ‘Allow’.

Look through your gallery albums. Perhaps, the images are being saved on your phone, but in another album. Check your phone’s gallery to see if there is a section called ‘Downloads’ or ‘Instagram’. They could be saved there.

Another problem that can arise when sharing content on Instagram, is that the app does not show your photos, or even that after publishing them, they do not receive as many visits.

Instagram does not show my photos in the Gallery

If Instagram can’t find your photos in your gallery, it’s probably because the app doesn’t have permission to access them. When you install Instagram for the first time, the application asks for some permissions so that it can work properly. Among them, the ability to access the storage and gallery. Do not worry if you initially denied this permission, there is an option to activate it.

Go to Settings > Apps > All apps > Instagram. Enter ‘Permissions’. Now, allow Instagram to access the phone’s internal memory, storage, and camera. Go back to the Instagram app and check if you can already access your photos.

Instagram does not show my already published photos

We give you some solutions if Instagram does not show the photos or videos you have already published on the platform.

  1. Make your account public: if your account is private, Instagram will show your posts, neither in the feed nor in searches. Only users who follow you will be able to see them.
  2. Use Hashtags: this way, you will be able to position your content in the stories or posts of Hashtags.
  3. Share your posts, but don’t go overboard: avoid massively sharing your posts to get a handful of likes. The best thing to do is to send the photo or video to trusted contacts and ask them to share it too.

How to save Instagram photos in the gallery

Want the photos you post on Instagram to be saved to your gallery? Follow these steps.

If you want posts to be saved to your mobile, log in to the Instagram app and tap on your account icon. Next, go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Account’. Next, click on ‘Original posts’. Finally, check the three boxes that appear on the screen.

If you also want the photos or videos you upload to your stories to be saved, go to your account settings and click on ‘Privacy’. Then click on the ‘Stories’ option. Finally, in the ‘Saved’ section, check the box that says ‘Save to gallery’.
