Instagram and Facebook are social networks that we can link and therefore share the content we upload on both sites, surely in the beginning it was quite “practical” for you to do so, since you could share your Instagram content with your Facebook friends, but for some reason now you would prefer to stop doing it. Do you want to stop sharing Instagram stories on Facebook, here we will explain step by step how you can do it.
I don’t want to share Instagram stories on Facebook
Sharing stories on Instagram is something that hundreds of users do every day, in fact many of them share more than one post a day, even managing to exceed the maximum number of posts. While for the vast majority of users of both social networks it is very “practical” to share the same content on Facebook, it is also possible that you may not want to do it anymore.
One of the things you should take into consideration is that we can activate and deactivate the option as many times as we want, even if we want we can select the publications that we want to be shared as a Facebook story, therefore, this is an excellent option if for some reason you would prefer not to share all the content you share on your Instagram account.
Disable sharing Instagram stories on Facebook
What you need to do for this is to go directly to Instagram settings, and perform the following steps:
- Open your Instagram account
- Click on settings
- Click on “Share to other Apps”.
- The first option is “Facebook”, click there.
- Now you will need to deactivate:
– Your Instagram stories
– Your Instagram posts
That’s it, you have now deactivated the option that allowed stories to be shared on both platforms.
In case you want to share them again in the future, you can follow the same steps detailed above but this time leave the checkboxes activated (they should be blue).
